Karen, Yvonne and Ingrid meet in Amsterdam and start to work on the first product and brand ideas for the Blue suit.

THE VERY BEGINNING
Yvonne brings in her many contacts of family-owned manufacturers and introduces Karen to the great Italian tailor heritage.
KAREN RAUSCHENBACH
2016 - Karen goes for her sabbatical and starts an Executive Leadership Program at THNK in Amsterdam. In her bag the first project ideas for the Blue suit.
2001 – 2016 As a Master of Transport Economist Karen pursues a very exciting career at a big aerospace company, working in different countries like Germany, France and Hongkong.
After her trainee programme that takes her to four different company sites, she leads the transportation and assembly for one of the certification tests for the A380, the world's biggest civil aircraft. This project involves several teams across different sites in Europe over four years.
As a production manager she is responsible for several manufacturing teams and the relevant suppliers.
Karen gets valuable insights and evaluates large operational projects during her role for internal audits.
Background - Karen Rauschenbach was born in Eastern Germany, is married to a Belgian and mother of twin girls. After living in Germany, USA, Spain, France and Hongkong, she now enjoys beautiful Switzerland, skiing on its gorgeous mountains, rowing on its blue lakes.
YVONNE VERMEULEN
2016 - Yvonne takes a first and well-deserved sabbatical.
2002 - 2015 In collaboration with her friend Ingrid Yvonne starts her own collection, all produced in Italy. Besides running her own business, she continues consulting big fashion companies.
1992 - 2001 After seeing too many of the negative and immoral sides of the textile industry in the Far East, like kids “playing” and collecting material in the landfills, Yvonne starts to go back to Italy. She misses Europe, not only for the quality of life, but especially for its fair working conditions.
1985 - 1991 As Head Designer and Buyer for a big Dutch fashion company Yvonne moves to the Far East. From her new base in Hongkong she travels around the Globe visiting manufacturing facilities in India, China, Thailand, Taiwan, Korea and Turkey. She enjoys the luxury of travelling by working.
Yvonne graduates from the Akademie Vogue in Amsterdam and gets invited for a fashion internship in Milan.
Background - Yvonne Vermeulen was born in the Netherlands, is married to an Israelian, mother of a girl and twins. After living in Italy, Hongkong, Spain, Italy, USA, Albania, the Netherlands she now lives in Bologna where she enjoys the Italian family life and its great culinary and cultural heritage.
